[How To] Get photo/video file after importing to Apple Photos in Mac

Recently, I’ve started using Apple Photos to import photos & videos from my camera. After importing, I want to share it with my sister but the default Sharing function doesn’t really fit my need (I just want to share it by copying file). So I try to find the origin file for my video. And here it is:

  • In Finder, in folder Home/Pictures, you will find and item (actually it is an Apple package folder) name Photos Library
  • Right click on this Photo Library, choose Show Package Contents, this will bring you to the content of this package folder
  • In the package folder contents, your photos & videos are stored in folder name Masters, arranged by date time.
